Surrey BC Tesla Supercharger expansion complete, 20 stalls now available for charging

At the Tesla Supercharger in Surrey, BC it is not unusual to see lineups of 10+ vehicles waiting to charge at the 12 stalls. Hopefully those lineups are going to be a thing of the past thanks to the completion of a 4-month expansion at the site.

The current setup of the Tesla Supercharger at Guildford Mall in Surrey now includes 20 urban 75kW Urban Superchargers, an increase of 8 from the original layout. Mutliple users have reported being able to charge at the site, although the in-car display is only showing 19 of 20 stalls available, so one stall might be down.

Unfortunately Tesla didn’t upgrade the existing Superchargers and install the latest V3 Superchargers, capable of charging at up to 250kW. Those increased speeds could have significantly increased turnover at the site, helping to reduce lineups. But the additional 8 stalls will definitely be a welcomed sight.
