Tesla has officially started rolling out Full Self-Driving (Supervised) v14 in Australia and New Zealand. The rollout is welcomed news for owners down under, especially those that took delivery of their new car over the last few months.
The launch was confirmed Thursday by Tesla Australia & New Zealand through a post on X, with the company simply stating, “FSD Supervised v14 now rolling out in Australia 🇦🇺 & New Zealand 🇳🇿.”

Months of waiting finally comes to an end
Although Tesla launched FSD v13 in Australia and New Zealand earlier this year, many new customers never received access to the software. Instead, Tesla quietly stopped activating FSD on newly delivered vehicles, even for customers who had purchased the package outright or subscribed to the service.
That decision left some owners waiting months for access while Tesla continued developing the next major version of the software.
In an email sent to customers last month, Tesla explained the reasoning behind the delay, saying it wanted owners’ first experience with FSD to be based on the latest technology. The company described v14 as a “meaningful step forward in performance and capability,” indicating it believed the improvements justified holding back activations rather than deploying v13 to new vehicles.
With v14 now beginning to roll out, those customers should finally be able to access the feature they have been waiting for since taking delivery.
Tesla also previously confirmed that customers with FSD subscriptions would not be charged until the software was activated on their vehicles, preventing owners from paying for a service they could not use during the delay.
