Tesla has announced winners of the latest round of Supercharger voting. Tesla is calling these locations the winners of Q3 2024 Supercharger voting, even though there is still a week left to go in the quarter.
Since its inception the Supercharger voting program has always lasted for a single quarter. However, the latest round of voting had been ongoing since January. A winner was not announced in April, likely due to the entire Supercharger team being fired exactly at that time.
After a few months of delays, Tesla has now closed voting and announced the latest winners. Unlike in previous votes, Tesla didn’t actually announce a list of the winning locations, instead adding them to their map of future locations and leaving it to owners to find out where they were.
During the last round Canada swept the top 5 spots in North America. Unfortunately, Canada didn’t do as well this time, but did get two new Superchargers – one in Lake Louise, Alberta, and another Saint-Saveur, Quebec. Both locations do not have a targeted opening date, with Tesla recently updating their map to only have the status of future Superchargers as either ‘In Development’ or ‘Under Construction.’
However, there appear to be some discrepancies and oddities with this latest round of announced winners. Lake Louise wasn’t in the top 10 of votes, so it is odd that it was announced as a winner. We were also expecting several more Canadian locations to be winners. Earlier this month Ucluelet and Campbell River, both on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, were sitting in the #4 and #6 spots respectively. Gatineau, Quebec and Tobermory, Ontario, were also in the top five, but none of these sites ended up as winners.
As best we can tell from the map, here are the other North American winners in the Q3 2024 round of voting:
- Hershey, Pennsylvania
- Southern Pines, North Carolina
- Brent, Florida
- Murfreesboro, Tennessee
- Gavelston, Texas
- Durango, Colorado
- Escalante, Utah
- Prescott, Arizona
Another change is that Tesla has only opened the next round of voting in Europe, with the company saying the North American and Asia Pacific voting locations will be “coming soon.”

North America & Asia Pacific voting round coming soon!
Editor’s note: A previous version of this article stated Lake Louise was not originally part of the voting. This has been corrected. We apologize for the confusion.
