Tesla 2024.14 release notes reveal full list of features coming in the spring update

Earlier this week Tesla teased a big software update coming this spring. The first reports of owners having received the 2024.14 update have now appeared, and the release notes show there is much more included in this release than what Tesla shared.

Through a post on X, Tesla said the spring update would include a brand new user interface (UI), Auto Shift Beta, Hands-Free Trunk, Sentry Mode previews on your mobile device, Increased Regen Braking on Highway, Audible, Spotify Improvements, and an update to the rear screen to show navigation information.

While most of these features are limited to newer cars with the AMD Ryzen chip, there is still a lot more that will be available to everyone, according to the release notes shared by Australian Model Y owner Odin (@The_Alfather) on X.

Better Route Available

Now when you are using the navigation it will automatically reroute you to a faster route if one becomes available. An option will appear on the screen to decline the faster route if you want to stick with your current route.

Wiper Controls

Tesla is providing additional scroll wheel functionality with this feature. Now when you press the wiper button on the left stalk, you will be able to adjust the speed of the wipers (I, II, III, IIII, Auto) using the scroll wheel. Previously you had to tap on the screen to adjust the speed.

Other Updates

  • Full screen Autopilot visualizations
  • When you’re parked, you can expand the browser full screen
  • You can now swipe to delete Sentry Mode recordings in the Dashcam app on your vehicle touchscreen, or at Security > Sentry Mode Alarm Previews in the Tesla app 4.32.0+
  • When you have Valet Mode on, and your vehicle is unlocked of shifted out of Park, you’ll receive a notification on your phone
  • The Vampire Survivors game in the Arcade has now has the “Space 54” and “Deeplorable” updates
  • Arcade includes the latest game update for Polytopia “Path of the Ocean.”

The 2024.14 update also includes several other features we have talked about in the past, including Speed Camera Chime, Average Speed Zones, Trip Progress Bar, and Adaptive High Beams (not all markets).
