Subaru opens Solterra reservations in the US, announces EVgo partnership

Subaru has officially opened up reservations for their first electric vehicle (EV), the 2023 Solterra.

The automaker also announced a partnership with EVgo that will provide new owners with free charging.

Subaru Solterra Reservations

Subaru’s reservation system officially opened at 9:00am this morning. In a press release, Subaru says reservations will be limited, without specifying how many will be available.

With the refundable $250 deposit, customers can select their preferred retailer, as well as pick their desired trim and colour.

Finalizing of orders, as well as official pricing and availability will take place between April and May 2022.

The automaker says deliveries of the Solterra EV will begin in the summer of 2022, and will be available to purchase in all 50 states.

No date has been provided for when Canadians will be able to make reservations, or when the Solterra will be available north of the border.

Subaru & EVgo Partnership

Subaru also announced a partnership with EVgo to provide owners with access to over 46,000 public charging locations in the US.

EVgo’s network consists of more than 800 fast charging locations, as well as more than 1,200 Level 2 charging stalls across 35 states.
