The Montreal Metropolitan Airport is quickly becoming one of Canada’s greenest airports.
The airport recently announced that 120 Wallbox Pulsar Pro charging stations are now officially live, providing EV charging for employees, visitors, and airport operational staff.
Once the new Porter commercial passenger terminal is complete, the airport will add 48 more chargers, bringing the total on-site charging terminals to 168.
The airport partnered with Wallbox, Foresta, EG Electrique, Westburne, and EDP Electrique to make the project a reality.
The Wallbox Pulsar Pro was the perfect option for this larger installation, as it can use Power Sharing across the charger group. This feature allows available power to be distributed as demanded and supports efficient use of the overall electricity capacity.
Combined with Foresta’s charging infrastructure and centralized network management, the EV charging system can handle the daily demands of EV users.
Montreal Metropolitan Airport has seen a massive revival in terms of passenger services to the South Shore. Porter has made the airport its Montreal hub and built a 21,000-square-meter commercial terminal to support passenger flights from Porter and Pascan. Porter, for its part, now flies direct out of Montreal Met to sun destinations like Aruba, Grand Cayman and Costa Rica and across the country.
