Electrify Canada announces partnership with Canadian Tire to install EV chargers across the country

Recently Electrify Canada announced plans to install 32 EV fast chargers across Canada by 2020, with the first location already opening in Toronto. To add to that, Electrify Canada announced plans yesterday for over 20 EV charger installations at select Canadian Tire locations across Canada.

According to the news release, these Canadian Tire charging stations will offer DC fast chargers capable of charging at 150 to 350-kilowatt (kW). All EVs compatible with CCS or CHAdeMO charging outlets will be able to access these chargers. That means Tesla owners will need to have a CHAdeMO adapter in order to take use these charging stations.

Together we look forward to bringing a positive charge to EV drivers across the country.”

No announcements have been made yet about which Canadian Tire locations will be selected.
