Tesla introduces new storage accessories for the Model Y

Tesla has quietly expanded its lineup of official accessories for the Model Y, introducing two new storage solutions aimed at helping owners make better use of the SUV’s cargo space.

The new additions, the Model Y Expandable Trunk Organizer and Model Y Sub-Trunk Organizer, are now available through Tesla’s online shop in Canada and the United States.

Model Y Expandable Trunk Organizer

The larger of the two is the Model Y Expandable Trunk Organizer, priced at $340 in Canada and $245 south of the border. Designed to sit securely in the rear cargo area, the organizer features four integrated storage bins that can expand when needed and collapse when not in use.

Tesla has also included two mesh pockets for smaller items that tend to roll around the trunk during daily driving.

While many third-party storage options already exist for the Model Y, Tesla’s version is designed specifically around the dimensions of the vehicle’s cargo area, giving it a more integrated look and preventing it from sliding around while driving. Owners of the seven-seat Model Y will have to look elsewhere, however, as Tesla notes the accessory is not compatible with that configuration.

Model Y Sub-Trunk Organizer

Joining it is the smaller Model Y Sub-Trunk Organizer, which takes advantage of the hidden storage compartment beneath the cargo floor. Priced at $160 in Canada and $115 in the U.S., the organizer includes a large storage bin and two removable dividers, allowing owners to customize the space depending on what they are carrying.

Unlike the trunk organizer, the sub-trunk version is only compatible with 2025 and newer Model Y vehicles, likely reflecting changes introduced with the refreshed model.
