Tesla sends out invitations for Model S Plaid delivery event

After one delay it looks like the special delivery event for the Model S Plaid officially on for June 10.

Tesla began sending out the invitations this morning via email to refresh Model S and Model X customers. Current FSD beta tester Dirty Tesla (Chris), is one of those customers waiting for his Long Range Model X, who shared the email on Twitter.

We already knew the event was going to take place at the Fremont factory, but we now know the time. According to the invitation, the event will take place at 7pm PST (10pm EST).

The invitation didn’t provide any further details about what to expect. Elon Musk has already confirmed the event will be live streamed, so if you weren’t one of the lucky ones to get an invitation you will be able to follow along from home.

One thing we are expecting to happen at the event is the official announcement of the Model S Plaid’s record setting quarter mile run. Last month Drive Tesla reported exclusively on the insane 9.23 second run, which was confirmed earlier this week by Jay Leno.

Tesla has also repaved their test track at Fremont this week, so there is a good chance there will also be the opportunity for test drives at the event.

Stay tuned for more information about how to watch the live stream when it is announced.
