Edmunds Top Rated EV award goes to Tesla Model 3

Edmunds has named the 2020 Tesla Model 3 as the top rated electric vehicle (EV) in its annual Top Rated Awards for 2021.

In giving the award to the Model 3 Edmunds said it stands out from the crowd, and no other automaker has been able to match the overall experience that Tesla offers.

“Our Top Rated electric vehicle, the Tesla Model 3 will win you over with its quick acceleration, nimble handling and impressive practicality.”

Edmunds noted several reasons for the accolade, including its “forward-thinking” minimalistic interior design, expansive Supercharger network, and market-leading range.

The publication also praised Tesla’s over-the-air (OTA) software updates that improves the vehicle without the owner having to visit a Service Center.

Edmunds is so enamoured with the Model 3, the publication owns two of them. Their Editor-In-Chief Alistair Weaver also personally owns one as a family car. As they said, “that’s the strongest recommendation we can make.”

This is the second year in a row that the Model 3 has won this award.
