Hot Wheels RC Cybertruck pre-order deliveries should begin soon, one month after they appeared on store shelves

It was almost a year ago when Mattel announced a pair of Tesla RC Cybertrucks, a 1:10 scale limited edition and a cheaper 1:64 scale version.

Originally slated for a December 2020 delivery just in time for Christmas, thousands of customers who placed a pre-order were disappointed when the company delayed deliveries to May 2021.

Despite that, the smaller 1:64 scale Cybertrucks appeared on shelves of Target stores across the United States in February. Canadians were unfortunately left out of the frenzy.

When reached for comment, Mattel blamed it on a “logistics error,” saying they were working to ship orders as quickly as possible.

It looks like that is going to happen very soon. Drive Tesla has been contacted by multiple readers who have seen charges appear on their credit cards today, but so far only for the 1:64 scale Cybertrucks.
