Tesla opens lottery for shareholders to attend 2026 Annual Meeting at Giga Texas

Tesla is giving shareholders a chance to attend its 2026 Annual Shareholder Meeting in person at Gigafactory Texas, but securing a seat will come down to luck. With limited capacity available, the automaker has opened a random drawing to determine who can attend.

The meeting is scheduled for December 3, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. Central Time (1:00 p.m. Pacific), according to Tesla’s proxy statement, with shareholders having until November 6 to enter the drawing.

Tesla used a similar system for last year’s meeting. The company has once again opted for a lottery rather than offering seats on a first-come, first-served basis.

The announcement follows Tesla’s confirmation of its December 3 shareholder meeting, where Elon Musk and two directors are up for re-election.

How to Enter Tesla’s 2026 Shareholder Meeting Lottery

To qualify, participants must have owned Tesla shares as of October 13, 2026, either directly or through a brokerage.

Shareholders must register through Tesla’s shareholder platform and provide proof of ownership, according to the drawing terms. Entries close November 6 at 11:59 p.m. CT (9:59 p.m. PT).

Tesla expects to begin notifying selected shareholders by email during the week of November 16. Those chosen may need to provide additional information within 48 hours to confirm eligibility.

Invitations cannot be transferred, and attendees must present valid government-issued identification. Tesla will also not cover travel or accommodation expenses.

Shareholders who aren’t selected can still participate virtually using their unique 16-digit control number, allowing them to vote and submit comments during the meeting. The event will also be livestreamed publicly.

With the deadline approaching, shareholders hoping to visit Giga Texas will need to complete their registration before November 6.
