Tesla’s Supercharger network has passed another milestone, with more than 85,000 charging stalls now spread across over 9,000 sites worldwide. The latest update comes only six months after the company celebrated its 80,000th stall in France.
Tesla Charging announced the new totals on Friday, offering a fresh snapshot of the network’s growing footprint. While stalls represent individual charging spaces, sites refer to the locations where those chargers are installed.
When we reported the 80,000 stall milestone in April, Tesla had expanded its Saint-Saturnin station near Le Mans to 48 stalls. That project also included solar canopies and restroom facilities. Today, the 85,000th stall is located in Tsuchiura, Japan.

Comparing the two milestones puts the increase at roughly 5,000 stalls in just under six months.
Zooming further out and we can see how much the network has grown. Tesla reached 60,000 stalls in October 2024 and 70,000 in June 2025. It has now moved another 15,000 stalls in just 15 months, or the equivalent of about 1,000 stalls added every month.

The expansion comes as demand for Supercharging continues to rise. In a separate quarterly update released earlier this week, Tesla reported 69 million charging sessions during Q3 2026, an increase of 29% year over year. Since its launch, Tesla’s Supercharger network has supplied 28.9 terawatt-hours (TWh) of electricity to EVs. That’s equivalent to roughly 482 million full charges of a 60 kWh battery.
To speed up growth, Tesla is also simplifying construction with factory-assembled designs that reduce the work needed on-site. Its Folding Unit Superchargers combine a V4 cabinet and eight charging stalls in one package, allowing 16 stalls to travel on a single truck.
The newer Accordion Supercharger adapts that approach for chargers positioned between parking spaces, expanding into place after delivery.
