Polestar is expanding its presence in Europe with the addition of three new markets in the Baltic region. The company announced on Monday that it will begin selling its vehicles in Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania, increasing its global footprint to 31 markets and adding three more countries to its rapidly expanding European sales network.
To support the expansion, Polestar has partnered with regional automotive retailer Volvax Baltic, leveraging its existing retail infrastructure throughout the Baltic states. The first dedicated Polestar Space is scheduled to open in Tallinn, Estonia, later this month.
Additional locations in Riga, Latvia, and Vilnius, Lithuania, are expected to follow before the end of 2026.
The Baltic expansion forms part of Polestar’s broader retail growth strategy. The automaker is aiming to increase its global sales network to approximately 250 locations this year while simultaneously shifting its retail approach to focus more heavily on vehicle test drives and customer experiences.
“Expanding into the Baltic region is a natural next step for Polestar as we continue to grow in Europe, and is part of our journey to grow our sales network in 2026 to 250 locations globally. At the same time, we are transforming our retail network to meet customers where they are, with locations designed around test drives, making it easier for more customers to experience our cars. It’s a significant achievement for a young brand like Polestar to operate in more than 30 markets,” said Scott Dicken, Polestar Chief Commercial Officer.
The Baltic states have emerged as promising markets for electric vehicles in recent years, supported by improving charging infrastructure and growing consumer interest in EV adoption. According to Polestar, customers in the region will have access to more than 2,800 charging points through its Polestar Charge network, including both high-speed DC fast chargers and local charging options.
Europe remains Polestar’s most important market by volume. During the first quarter of 2026, the region accounted for 78% of the company’s global retail sales, showing why Polestar is so aggressively targeting European expansion.
