Windsor Supercharger now open [Ontario]

Tesla has added to their tally of new Superchargers in Canada in 2023, opening a new station in Windsor, Ontario on Tuesday.

The Windsor Supercharger is located in the parking lot of the Canadian Tire at 4150 Walker Rd, just south of the Windsor International Airport and a few kilometers away from the Canada/US border. Construction first began in early December and as is typical with most Supercharger installations, the site was completed quickly but sat idle waiting for a final power connection for several months.

That finally happened this week and the 8 stall V3 Supercharger was tested and energized earlier this morning, as announced by the official Tesla Charging Twitter account. This site also features three FLO DC fast chargers for CCS equipped EVs.

Tesla’s website has been updated to show the Windsor Supercharger is now open, but it is not yet appearing in the in-car navigation.

Ontario has been getting most of the attention from the Canadian Supercharger team so far in 2023. This is the fifth Supercharger to open in Ontario this year, and the ninth in Canada. Other stations have come online in Toronto, Scarborough, Minden, and Brantford.
