Starlink incorporates in India ahead of official launch

Starlink is one step closer to being offered in India as the company has officially been registered in the country.

News of the incorporation came from one the of the newly formed company’s directors, Sanjay Bhargava via his LinkedIn account.

The name of the company is “Starlink Satellite Communications Private Limited.” (SSCPL)


As noted by Bhargava, SSPCL can now begin applying for the appropriate licenses and completing the other steps required before offering its satellite internet services in the country.

Starlink has big goals for India, hoping to offer up to 200,000 terminals in over 160,000 districts across India by the end of 2022.

To date, SpaceX has only shipped 100,000 terminals in 14 countries.
