Tesla Superchargers in Yarmouth and Digby under construction [Nova Scotia]

Christmas has arrived early for Tesla owners in Nova Scotia, as two new Superchargers have been discovered under construction in Nova Scotia. These are the second and third Superchargers to start construction in Atlantic Canada over the past week, after the first was spotted last week in Miramichi, New Brunswick.

Nova Scotia has been a bit like the forgotten child when it comes to the Tesla Supercharger network, having just two stations across the entire province. The most recent to open was the New Minas Supercharger which saw the power turned on back in July 2022. Since then Tesla’s list of upcoming locations has been void of any in Nova Scotia, yet despite this two new stations are now under construction in the southern half of the province, one in Yarmouth and the other in Digby.

Yarmouth Supercharger

The new Supercharger in Yarmouth is located in the parking lot of Canadian Tire at 120 Starrs Rd, according to photos shared on the Electric Vehicle Association of Atlantic Canada Facebook group by Bonnie Wade. Unfortunately the photos don’t show how many stalls are going to be built, but we can see two pallets of ‘Tesla Energy’ boxes, so this will likely be 8 stalls.

This site will also feature 2 FLO DC fast chargers, as there are “FLO CHARGER SLABS” amongst the equipment for this site.

Digby Supercharger

Like Yarmouth, the Digby Supercharger is also located in the parking lot of a Canadian Tire at 112 Warwick St. Photos shared of the site by Wade show there will be 8 stalls and two FLO DC fast chargers. The FLO chargers are already installed, and all of the groundwork has already been completed for the Superchargers, but no equipment is on site yet.

Given the state of construction of the Digby Supercharger, and the fact that the Supercharger equipment is already on site at the Yarmouth Supercharger, both of these sites will likely be open before the end of the year.
