Tesla has taken a step to improve the customer experience with the launch of a new ‘Tesla Assist’ chatbot, now available on the company’s website. Powered by artificial intelligence, this new tool is designed to provide instant, accurate answers to frequently asked questions about Tesla’s products and services.
The Tesla Assist chatbot is accessible via a chat bubble located at the bottom of Tesla’s website, which if you have been around long enough might remember it once connected you to a real human. By clicking the bubble, users can engage with the AI assistant to inquire about Tesla products, services, vehicle features, and support through a set of default topics like incentives, leasing and financing details, or click on ‘Show More’ to type in your own question.
Tesla Assist is capable of answering a wide range of questions related to Tesla’s vehicle lineup, charging network, software updates, and energy products. Whether customers need guidance on scheduling a service appointment, understanding the latest software update, or troubleshooting minor issues, the chatbot can provide immediate assistance, reducing the need to contact Tesla’s customer support team directly.

With the tool you can even schedule demo drives. Users can request a demo drive, and the chatbot will automatically book an appointment at the nearest available location. If the suggested option doesn’t work for the user, Tesla Assist will provide alternative locations and times that better suit their schedule. This functionality appears to be limited to the US, as we were not able to schedule a drive directly through Tesla Assist.

Tesla’s Raj Jegannathan confirmed on the social media platform X that the company plans to expand Tesla Assist’s capabilities incrementally. While no specifics were given, Jegannathan said the chatbot will soon integrate additional features to provide a more personalized experience.
