Tesla’s coast-to-coast Full Self-Driving (FSD) challenge across Canada is continuing to impress, with the team now passing 4,000 km driven without a single intervention or disengagement.
By the end of Day 3, the group had reached Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario after covering a total of 2,340 miles (3,766 km) since departing Vancouver earlier this week. According to the team, Tesla’s FSD v14.3.3 software continues to handle the entire drive on its own, including lane changes, speed adjustments, navigation, and 16 charging stops along the way.
Day 3 also included long stretches through northern Ontario, an area known for winding highways, remote driving conditions, wildlife crossings, and scenic routes along Lake Superior.
“We are nearly 4,000km into the trip and we are still without a single intervention – no turn signals, no changing of the speed profiles, nothing,” Olsen wrote. “This car has done all of the work while the three of us have gotten to relax and take in the views of Canada.”
The group says they are now targeting a Thursday afternoon arrival in Halifax, Nova Scotia if everything continues according to plan.
There was, however, at least one close call involving the intervention-free streak.
Moss joked that Olsen officially took over supervising duties after charging stop number 12 and “may or may not have almost ended the intervention and disengagement free streak immediately,” though the team says the streak ultimately survived intact.

Day 4 began Wednesday morning with the group departing Sault Ste. Marie. According to Spencer Scott, the team covered approximately 650 miles (1,046 km) on Day 3 alone without any human input.
