Rivian watcher, rivian.software is reporting that software version 2022.47 is on its way to the R1S and R1T.

The new software version adds the much anticipated Snow Mode which allows relaxes the throttle pedals response and reduces regenerative braking for better control in snow conditions.

As well, the software update will provide access to TIDAL.

Now both TIDAL and Spotify will allow you add songs to a queue.

In addition to this, the Rivian app is now adding more features such as the ability to turn on defrost, the heated steering wheel, futon and second-row seats.

As well, the new update provides a host of other data and privacy controls for users to consider.

However, be forewarned that Highway Assist does not work if you limit precise location data sharing.

Rivian has also made refinements to Soft Mode and Stiff Mode based on user and vehicle data feedback.

The company has also made some improvements to:

  • Battery longevity
  • Battery durability
  • Regenerative braking performance
  • Responsiveness of key card taps and fob button presses.

Finally, Rivian has made a host of bug fixes including:

  • Pet mode turning off if the steering wheel was heated
  • Settings for the power liftgate not holding after software updates or the vehicle going to sleep
