New electric vehicle charging stations open in 100 Mile House

After construction was completed in November 2019, the new electric vehicle (EV) fast-charging stations in 100 Mile House have officially opened.

Located in front of the South Cariboo Visitor Centre just off the Cariboo Hwy, the new charging station features 2 50kW DC fast chargers with both CCS and CHAdeMO plugs, and 1 Level 2 charger.

The station is currently free to use, and will likely stay that way for at least 2 years, according to the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure. Parking is free, and there are a number of amenities close by including several dining options and shopping.
