Tesla is expanding their presence in the province of Quebec with a massive new 80,000 square foot Sales, Service, and Delivery Center in Montreal.
The new location will be at 16975 Trans-Canada Highway at the former home of the furniture and electronics store Brault and Martineau, according to a source with knowledge of the plans.
Based on a recent lease listing for the property, the building covers over 70,000 square feet. However, that is apparently not big enough for the automaker, as according to our source they intend to add another 10,000 square feet to the building.
The site offers amazing visibility from the nearby Trans-Canada Highway and features nearly 300 parking stalls, more than enough for customers and new vehicles waiting to be delivered.
The plans for the new site are currently being submitted to local authorities for approval, after which renovation work will begin to build out the space for Tesla’s needs. A render what the site will look like upon completion was shared with us, which includes a Cybertruck in the parking lot.
If everything goes according to plan, Tesla will open the new location later this year.
The automaker currently operates four locations in the province of Quebec. There is an existing location in Montreal at 5350 Ferrier Street, plus additional locations in Laval, Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville. There is also another in Quebec City which recently expanded and is holding a grand opening party next month.
