Lucid starts delivering 2023 Air edition with Stealth Appearance pack

Lucid has commenced the delivery of the luxury Lucid Air with the Stealth Appearance upgrade. Customers began getting their cars at the company’s Costa Mesa service center in Southern California, with expected expansion to the rest of the country in the coming weeks.

According to Lucid SVP of Design and Brand, Derek Jenkins, “The highly-anticipated Stealth Appearance will delight those who prefer a darker, more enigmatic look to Lucid Air. Side by side, Stealth and Platinum are like seeing two altogether different vehicles, two facets of the Air personality.”

The Stealth Appearance package is available on the Air Grand Touring and Air Touring models. It makes the electric sedan darker, although at a cost. The upgrade costs $3,000 on the Air Touring with a metal roof and doubles the price for models with a Glass Canopy roof. Canadian buyers will pay CA$ 4,000 and CA$ 7,500, respectively.

Adding the Stealth Package affects up to 35 components inside the car. Some parts that would have had the Premium Appearance treatment are instead covered with a dark Stealth finish. Lucid claims the aesthetic pays homage to the speculaire black polishing style typical in fine horology and jewelry.

The Stealth Appearance also adds glossy black and satin graphite accents on the exterior, including the headlights and taillights. Color options matched with the package include Stellar White, Infinite Black, Cosmos Silver, Quantum Grey, and Zenith Red.

Lucid recently recalled some of the Air sedans due to issues with the electric motor.
