Disney restricted Tesla from adding Disney+ anywhere but the United States

Almost one year ago to the day Tesla CEO Elon Musk said that the Disney+ was “coming soon” to Tesla vehicles.

Just over seven months later and the video streaming service was added in the 2021.24 software update.

Unfortunately, it was only added for owners in the United States.

That left Canadians hoping Tesla was continuing to work behind the scenes on a licensing agreement to bring it to international owners.

In a tweet on Wednesday, Musk dashed those hopes, confirming it was Disney themselves that said Tesla could only add their streaming service in the US.

This is despite Canadians being able to sign up for the service to watch on their TVs, computers, and mobile devices.

There is a workaround to get Disney+ in your Tesla if you don’t live in the US. The workaround involves just three steps using the built-in YouTube app. You can read how at the link below.
