Tesla finally opens up Model Y order books in the UK

Tesla’s website team has been busy tonight. After making changes to the Cybertruck reservation page and increasing the price of the Model 3 SR+ in Canada, they have now launched Model Y orders in the United Kingdom (UK).

According to the Design Studio, both the Long Range (LR) and Performance variants are available for order. The LR starts at £54,990 ($92,900 CAD), while the Performance variant starts at £64,990 ($110,000 CAD).

The first to arrive will be the entry-level Model Y, expected to land in the UK in early 2022 according to the website. Buyers wanting a little more speed will have to wait until mid-2022 for the Performance variant. (h/t: @Sawyer Merritt)

Based on interior images in the online configurator, the UK Model Y will likely arrive from Giga Shanghai. Fremont has yet to switch to the new door panels as seen in the image below.

Customers are only be able to select the 5 seat option. The tow hitch is also present on the Design Studio, but is greyed out with a note saying it is available for purchase after delivery.
