Just a few days after three refresh Tesla Model X vehicles were spotted in Canada, including the elusive Plaid variant, the factory in Fremont appears to be churning more examples of the electric SUV.
In a drone flyover of the factory on September 29, 2021, multiple Model X cars can be seen on the Fremont Logistics lot and test track.
In the Logistics lot, at least three cars are visible, finished in red, white, and black. The red one also has plastic wrapping on its bumpers which Tesla applies to protect them during transport.
As the drone operator continues his flight, what appears to be at least 35 more refresh Model X vehicles can be seen parked on the side of the test track.
This is the same area that Tesla stored dozens of refresh Model S vehicles before deliveries began.
These sightings come after virtually no new information from the company on when deliveries of the refresh Model X will begin. Tesla shut down the production line nearly one year ago in December 2020 to retool them for the new design.
Due to unforeseen challenges, Tesla has yet to deliver a single one to a new customer since then.
Hopefully this is a good sign they are on track to restart deliveries in Q4.
