Tesla Model S Plaid takes on the Ferrari Enzo and other supercars [Video]

In its latest video, Petersen Automotive Museum put the Tesla Model S Plaid to the test against three infamous supercars in various drag races.

This particular Model S Plaid was customized by Unplugged Performance with a carbon-fibre wide-body kit with a satin grey exterior and custom interior, including Banbu Leather, which is currently on display inside the Petersen Museum for the “Inside Tesla” exhibit.

The modifications were all cosmetic though, and the Plaid’s powertrain was exactly as it was when it rolled off the production line.

The drag races were against the Maserati MC12, Ferrari Enzo and Ferrari F12, all of which were some of the fastest cars in the world when they were first introduced.

Vehicle Horsepower Torque 0-60 MPH Top Speed
 Maserati MC12 621 431 lb per foot 3.3 seconds 205 MPH
Ferrari Enzo 660 434 lb per foot 3.7 seconds 217 MPH
Ferrari F12 731 508 lb per foot 3.5 seconds 211 MPH
Model S Plaid 1,020 1,050 lb per foot 1.9 seconds 175MPH (216 MPH*)

Yet, they could not stand up to the power of the Plaid, even when given some huge head starts, with the supercars looking like they were standing still in some of the races.

Here are the results, but it is defintiely worth watching the whole video down below.
