The Netherlands love affair with Tesla and the Model 3 in particular has become even stronger, as registrations in the country for the month of December have now passed 11,000.
Earlier this year, the Tesla Model 3 became the best-selling car in the Netherlands, ICE or EV, beating out the likes of perennial favourites, the VW Polo and Ford Focus.
According to data from from Kentekenradar, the number of registrations for the Tesla Model 3 has reached 11,118 up to December 30, 2019. The number of registrations peaked on December 28, when 989 Model 3 vehicles alone were registered.
With one day to go until the end of the year, and if the pace of the last few days is anything to go by, the Netherlands could have over 12,000 new Tesla Model 3 drivers in December. If it wasn’t for the Christmas break where registrations didn’t happen for 2 days, the numbers could have been even higher.
The number of deliveries in the Netherlands could be key to Tesla’s success in Q4 2019, if they want to beat the previous quarter’s 97,000 deliveries and meet their annual guidance of at least 360,000 vehicles for the year.
