One area that is particularly susceptible to muddy and dirty little feet are the seat backs.
There are a number of third party solutions for seat-back protectors, but they’re all ugly and cumbersome and ruin the sleek look of the Tesla interior.
But a Quebec company has come up with what we think is the perfect solution to not only protect your seats, but also keep the interior looking like it just rolled off the production line.
Ma Capuche, based out of Montreal, has created these waterproof seat-back protectors which can be easily installed in minutes (video below), and require just a quick wipe-down with a damp cloth to keep them clean.
According to the creator and owner of MaCapuche, Guillaume Allard, he used the covers over the past winter with his young children in the back seat, and there are still no scratches or marks after several months of abuse from their heavy winter boots.
Made from vinyl leather, they fold neatly into the seat back and are attached to the seat bottom with small pieces of Velcro.
The Tesla Model 3/Y seat-back protectors are available in both black and white to match your interior. There’s also blue, red, and grey if you want a little more flair. You can also add optional seat back pockets for an extra fee.
The regular price is $160 CAD for a set of 2 covers, but are currently on sale for $100 CAD.
Plus you can save an additional 10% on your purchase by using the coupon code drivetesla at checkout.
The covers are shipped via Canada Post, either by Standard Mail or Xpress Post, in a strong round tube to prevent any damage during transport.
The Ma Capuche coupon code drivetesla works on all the products in their store. That includes their signature Ma Capuche (French for hood), which is designed to protect your charge port and charging cable from the elements during winter.
Here’s a quick video showing just how easy the installation is.
