Mattel begins charging credits cards ahead of 1:10 scale Hot Wheels RC Tesla Cybertruck deliveries [Update]

More than a year after first taking orders, Mattel should begin deliveries of the 1:10 scale Hot Wheels RC Tesla Cybertruck this week.

Several or our readers have notified us that their credits cards have been charged this morning for the RC Cybertruck. This is also the case for our order, with our credit card showing a charge by Mattel for $576.16.

Although Mattel hasn’t sent any shipping notifications, they should be sent very soon. The same thing happened last month with the smaller 1:64 scale Cybertrucks. Customers started noticing charges on their credit cards, and then received shipping notifications the next day.

Mattel last month revealed more information about the 1:10 scale Cybertruck. While emailing customers to let them know to expect their orders soon, they also released a new “Tips & Tricks” video to get you prepared (and excited) about your impending delivery.

Fortunately those people who placed their pre-order more than a year will be the first to get their hands on the Cybertrucks. That wasn’t the case with the 1:64 scale version, which began appearing on Target shelves before any were shipped to those customers.

Let us know in the comments below if your credit card has also been charged.
