Tesla has drastically cut the colour choices for their Cybertruck wrap service, reducing the number of available colour paint protection film (PPF) options from 11 all the way down to 3. At the same time, the company is no longer offering the wrap service in Texas.
Tesla launched their wrap service in October 2023, initially offering it only for the Model 3 and Model Y. A few months later Tesla launched the Cybertruck, and it too was added to the wrap service, with customers able to pick between 2 colours, Matte Black and Satin White.
That was later expanded to 5 colours, before jumping up to 11 in March of this year. The available colours were:
- Forest Green
- Satin Crimson Red
- Iridescent Purple
- Tactical Green
- Satin Dark Grey
- Copper Tinted Clear
- Satin Rose Gold
- Satin Abyss Blue
- Slip Grey
- Satin Stealth Black
- Satin Ceramic White
Now a recent update to the Tesla Shop shows all of those new colours added earlier this year, and more, have been removed, leaving just three PPF colours available for the Cybertruck – Satin Rose Gold, Satin Stealth Black, and Satin Ceramic White. Prices have remained the same, and they are available for US$6,000 or US$6,500.
It is unclear why Tesla removed so many of the colour choices. It could be a temporary move due to a supply issue, or there might not have been enough interest in those colours to keep them going. However, the latter seems unlikely since Tesla removed some of the better looking colors, like Satin Abyss Blue and Forest Green.
Just got my Cybertruck back from the service center, and the new forest green wrap looks absolutely fantastic! @Tesla @elonmusk pic.twitter.com/pzielAcbMD

Due to the unique set of skill required to apply vehicle wraps, the service was only offered four Service Centers in California, and as of earlier this year, the South Austin Collision Center in Texas. However, the Tesla Shop listing has also been updated to remove the Austin location, now only listing the Service Centers in West Covina, Oceanside, Costa Mesa and Santa Clara.
