Tesla is once again expanding their presence in the lower mainland of British Columbia. The company will soon be opening a brand new Service Center in Surrey, the fifth location for Tesla in and around Vancouver, and the second for the City of Surrey.
The new Surrey Service Center will be located in a brand new building in the northwestern part of the city at 12021 104 Ave. This new location seems to have gone completely under the radar, so we haven’t been able to find out much information about it, but from the looks of things it appears as though there will be a showroom at the front of the building, along with a large Service area at the rear.
According to city records the building itself is over 63,000 square feet, but it looks like Tesla will only be taking over about half of this space, with signage going up on the property last week. (h/t: Martin)
There is also a dedicated overhead ‘Service’ door for easy and convenient drop off, much like Canada’s first purpose-built Service Center on Vancouver Island that opened last summer.
Tesla’s website has not been updated with this new location, and based on the amount of work that is still required to finish the interior of the building, it will likely still be another few months before Tesla Surrey opens.
When it does it will be the second Service Center in Surrey, with the other being on the other side of the city on the Surrey/Langley border at 19505 Langley Bypass. The fact that Surrey will soon have two Service Centers is not that surprising considering the number of Tesla owners in the area. The city is also the unofficial Supercharger capital of Canada with five Supercharger stations with a total of 68 stalls.
