Honda unveils the 2024 Prologue

Honda has officially unveiled the design of its first-ever all-electric SUV, the Honda Prologue.

The vehicle was a joint effort between Honda and General Motors.

The Honda Design Studio in Los Angeles, California, led the design aspect of the vehicle.

While General Motors is powering the vehicle with the Ultium platform.

Honda spent a significant amount of time of the launch focusing on the design.

As per the announcement, the Prologue offers a tech-rich interior with exclusive charcoal and light grey interior colours.

This tech-rich interior includes an 11-inch driver display panel and an 11.3-inch audio and connectivity display.

In addition, the car has a wireless charging pad and the standard storage, cup holders and multi-function steering wheel you would expect in an SUV.

Honda‘s Design Lead for the Color, Material and Finish, Masaki Sumimoto, had this to say about the design:

Our goal was to create a clean harmony based on a rugged SUV image by coordinating the colours and materials to express neo-rugged design styling familiar to our customers and uniquely Honda.

Honda did not discuss the vehicle’s powertrain, but they did confirm the Prologue would be available in all-wheel drive.

One would assume that it will be similar to the dual-motor set-up of the Blazer EV, which also uses the Ultium platform.

The Prologue will launch in North America in 2024.
