Buyers of either the 2021 Hyundai Kona EV or Ioniq Electric will now receive 250kW of free fast charging on the Electrify America network.
After purchasing the EV the owner will be able to access their free charging using the Electrify America mobile app. According to a press release announcing the partnership, 250kW should equate to about 1,000 miles (1,609km) of driving range.
Depending on a number of factors, including weather and driving style, some owners should be able to get more than 1,000 miles out of their free allotment.

The offer applies to both purchases and leases, and only for the 2021 model year.
In a statement to Drive Tesla, Electrify America confirmed there is no such deal in place for Canadian buyers.
Electrify America currently has more nearly 600 EV charging stations with more than 2,400 DC fast chargers across the U.S. The company, born out of the Volkswagen emissions scandal, plans to have 800 locations and more than 3,000 fast chargers open by the end of the year.
