After a long battle with lawmakers to allow them to operate in Michigan, Tesla is preparing to open a second Service Center in the state in Grand Rapids.
Discovered by Reddit user u/MichiganGeek, the new store is located at 2919 29th Street SE, home to the former Prestige Imports dealership.
UPDATE: According to representatives from the company that own the building who spoke to mLive, Tesla Grand Rapids will open in late March or early April.
The automaker was so eager to let Michiganians know a new Tesla location is coming soon, they put up their signature ‘T’ logo directly over the old Prestige Imports sign.

The only other Service Center in the state of Michigan is about two hours away in Clarkston, just outside of the heart of Detroit. It opened in May of last year after Tesla reached a deal with the state of Michigan just a few months before that would allow them to sell vehicles directly to consumers and open service centres in the state.
