New Tesla Roadster Goes on Public Display for the First Time at Petersen Museum

The new Tesla Roadster, whose cold gas thrusters Lars Moravy says are built for production, will go on public display for the first time this weekend at the Petersen Automotive Museum in Los Angeles.

The museum says the Roadster will sit in its main lobby from Saturday, October 24 through Tuesday, October 27, a limited four-day appearance.

According to the Petersen’s vehicle page, it is the same car that shared the stage with Elon Musk and the Tesla team at the unveiling in McGregor, Texas.

The museum describes it as the first chance for the public to see the vehicle up close. The Petersen is at 6060 Wilshire Blvd and is open daily from 10 AM to 6 PM.

Since the Roadster will be sitting in the lobby, a ticket is not needed to view the car this weekend.

For more on the car itself, here is what we’ve learned about the new Roadster since its reveal, and Musk’s claim that the Roadster will perform its stunts autonomously.

The Petersen previously added a Cybertruck to its “Inside Tesla” exhibit in 2023.
