Over one in five of the Porsches handed to buyers worldwide so far this year has been fully electric. Porsche’s nine-month delivery report breaks out its three EVs, and adding them up gives 38,730 electric deliveries from January through September, or about 21.7% of the brand’s 178,532 total by our calculation.
That’s a notable shift for a company whose first EV, the Taycan, has spent the past while dealing with headlines like a battery fire class-action lawsuit.
The Macan Electric is doing most of the heavy lifting, accounting for well over half of Porsche EV deliveries on its own. The new Cayenne Electric has also made a quick start, even though it only arrived with customers in the summer.
The Taycan is heading the other way, with deliveries down 31% from a year earlier.

Porsche’s overall numbers meanwhile are under pressure. The brand delivered 178,532 vehicles over the nine months, down 16% from 212,509 a year earlier. Weakness in China, the end of 718 production and the wind-down of the combustion Macan, which ended production this summer, all weighed on results, and deliveries in China alone fell by a third.
With the gas-powered Macan gone, that nameplate will lean more heavily on the electric version from here on out. Of the 51,025 Macans delivered so far this year, 27,996 were combustion models. The Cayenne remains Porsche’s best-selling line overall, with 59,586 deliveries and only a 2% decline. The 911 was a bright spot, rising 12% to 42,217 units.
North America remains Porsche’s largest region, with 56,088 deliveries despite a 13% drop, which the automaker puts down to the end of the 718 and a strong run of Macan Electric sales in the prior year. Porsche hasn’t released a separate Canadian breakdown.
Elsewhere, deliveries in Europe outside Germany fell 11%, while Germany itself was down 7% and Porsche’s overseas and emerging markets slipped 19%.
