Tesla is wasting no time expanding their Megacharger network. Just one day after opening its first East Coast Megacharger in Conley, Georgia, Tesla has opened another station in the state, this time at a Pilot travel center in Ellabell, near Savannah.

The new location is the first to open under Tesla’s partnership with Pilot, announced in January, and features six charging stalls.

According to Pilot, the Georgia opening is just the beginning. Pilot confirmed that 12 additional heavy-duty charging locations are currently under construction, with three nearing completion.

The next station is scheduled to open October 9 at a Flying J travel center in Tulare, California. Two more locations, in Fort Stockton, Texas, and North Las Vegas, Nevada, are also expected to open soon, although specific dates haven’t been announced.

Each station will feature between four and eight Megacharger stalls capable of delivering up to 1.2 megawatts (1,200 kW) of power per stall. At those speeds, a Tesla Semi can recover approximately 60% of its charge in just 30 minutes.

Tesla and Pilot are focusing their initial rollout on major trucking corridors, including I-5 and I-10, with additional locations planned across Georgia, Indiana, Nevada, Texas, and California.

With two Georgia stations opening in as many days, Tesla is beginning to connect the individual charging locations needed to support longer Semi routes just weeks after the high-volume Semi factory officially opened in Nevada.
