Tesla’s next Supercharger location in Metro Vancouver is beginning to take shape, with construction now underway at Highgate Village Shopping Centre in Burnaby.

The new station, located at 7155 Kingsway, is currently listed on Tesla’s Supercharger map as “in development,” but recent photos from the site shared by Eden Sun on Facebook show crews actively installing what appears to be at least 12 V4 Supercharger stalls.

Based on the construction, the chargers are expected to be located in the shopping centre’s underground parkade, which is accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Once complete, the Highgate Village station will be the third Supercharger in Burnaby, adding to the existing sites on Bainbridge Ave (8 V4 stalls), and at The Amazing Brentwood (16 V3 stalls).

This new Burnaby Supercharger also continues Tesla’s expansion across the province, where several new Supercharger sites are currently under construction or waiting to be energized, including in Sicamous, Keremeos, Nanaimo, Vanderhoof, Terrace, and Prince Rupert.
