Polestar has officially reopened orders for the Polestar 2 in Canada, bringing the EV back to the market for the 2027 model year with updated technology, revised packaging, and a simplified lineup.
The return of the Polestar 2 gives the automaker a three-vehicle lineup in Canada alongside the Polestar 3 SUV and Polestar 4 coupe SUV.
Canadian pricing for the 2027 Polestar 2 starts at $69,900, with orders opening today through the company’s website.
Simplified Lineup With More Standard Features
Unlike previous model years that offered a wider mix of trims and optional equipment, Polestar has streamlined the new offering considerably. Canadian buyers will only be able to purchase the Long range Dual motor variant, but the company is packaging many of the previously optional upgrades as standard equipment.
That means the Pilot, Plus, and Climate packs now come included, along with 19-inch Aero wheels. Customers can also choose from five exterior paint options: Vapor, Storm, Midnight, Space, and Snow.

Faster Infotainment Performance
The biggest upgrade for 2027 happens inside the cabin. The Polestar 2 now features an updated Qualcomm Snapdragon processor powering the infotainment system, bringing noticeable improvements to responsiveness and overall system performance.
According to Polestar, the upgraded hardware improves app download speeds, system reaction times, and in-car software fluidity. Faster infotainment performance has become increasingly important for EV buyers as vehicles continue evolving into more software-driven products.

“With Polestar 2 re-entering the Canadian market alongside Polestar 3 and Polestar 4, the brand now stands strong with a more complete three-car line-up to meet the needs of customers in this ultra-competitive market,” said Hugues Bissonnette, Head of Polestar Canada. “With over 7,300 Polestar 2s on Canadian roads to date, we know there’s demand from our customers, so it’s with great joy we announce the return of Polestar 2 to Canada.”
Performance and Range
Performance also delivers in the 2027 Polestar 2, with 310 kW (421 horsepower) and 546 lb-ft of torque, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.5 seconds. The vehicle also offers an EPA-estimated driving range of 447 km (278 miles).
The 2027 Polestar 2 is now available to order through Polestar’s Canadian website.
