Tesla’s new Model 3 Premium Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) has officially landed in Canada. Large numbers of the electric sedans built at Giga Shanghai have been spotted at Tesla delivery centres in Ontario and Nova Scotia this week.
Photos shared on Reddit show dozens of China-built Model 3 sedans at Tesla locations in both Ontario and Atlantic Canada, meaning the first customer deliveries are set to begin within days.
Earlier this month we reported that Tesla had started assigning VINs to customers, suggesting deliveries could begin soon. Now, with vehicles appearing at Delivery Centres, the rollout appears to be moving ahead on schedule.
First Deliveries Scheduled for Early June
Tesla owners awaiting delivery have been tracking shipments, and several have now confirmed their vehicles have arrived and have confirmed delivery appointments.
At Tesla’s delivery centre in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, one customer reported spotting their exact vehicle among a large batch of newly arrived Model 3s.
The customer added that only three examples in Marine Blue were visible, including the one matching their VIN, with delivery scheduled for June 5.

Meanwhile, another owner visiting Tesla’s Etobicoke delivery centre near Toronto reported seeing dozens of Shanghai-built Model 3s in various colour and interior combinations.
“Boots on the ground reporting for those refreshing their Tesla app every day,” they wrote. “Saw a large batch of China-built Model 3s at Tesla Etobicoke today in every color and both interior options. Interestingly, I only spotted one with Nova wheels.”

Shift in Supply Strategy
The arrival of inventory at Delivery Centres marks the next step in Tesla’s effort to restore more affordable Model 3 pricing in Canada.
The automaker relaunched the sedan earlier this year after Canada announced its new EV import quota system, allowing Chinese-built vehicles to enter the country under significantly lower tariffs than were previously in place.
The new Model 3 Premium RWD immediately attracted attention thanks to sub-$40K starting price, although Tesla also quietly made several specification changes since its debut, including slower acceleration, lower maximum Supercharging speeds, and a reduced battery warranty.
While Tesla did not announce the changes at the time, the company has since started notifying buyers through the mobile app and its website. Buyers are now required to accept the changes, without compensation, in order to proceed with delivery. Tesla is offering a refund of the non-refundable $250 order deposit if buyers don’t want to follow through with their order.
