Tesla to add 26 new Superchargers at Buc-ee’s locations in new partnership

Tesla is partnering with Texas-based chain Buc-ee’s to bring Superchargers to 26 of their locations across 7 states.

A new letter of authorization between Tesla and Buc-ee’s was discovered in a permitting file for a new Supercharger in Florida (more on that later).

The letter of agreement gives Tesla the authorization to build Superchargers at all 26 stores on the list (pending an agreement with the owner). The letter was signed by the VP of Buc-ee’s on September 21st, 2021.

So far, of all the locations on the list, 3 of them are already in the permitting stage (Bastrop, New Braunfels, Daytona Beach)

Now, how could a document containing the exact locations of 26 new Superchargers, most of which are in Texas, have been found in a file for a Supercharger in Florida?

Well, unbeknownst to most people, Buc-ee’s also operates their chain outside of Texas.

Recently, a new permit was filed for a Supercharger at the Buc-ee’s in Daytona Beach, Florida, for which the letter of authorization with the 26 sites was included. Now if that rings any bells, it’s because the same thing happened last year with Target!
