Tesla Reaches 150 Supercharger Locations in Japan

Tesla has hit another milestone in Japan, with the company confirming its Supercharger network has expanded to 150 locations across the country.

The milestone was announced by Tesla Japan on X, where the company celebrated the growing network and highlighted the advantages of its charging ecosystem. With the opening, Tesla has been able to triple the size of its Supercharger network in Japan in just four years.

The 150th location also received a small commemorative touch. Rather than unveiling a specially themed charging station with a unique decal like other commemorative sites, Tesla installed a metal plaque on the Supercharger stalls to mark the occasion.

While Tesla’s announcement focused on the number of sites, the latest figures show the network now includes 744 individual Supercharger stalls spread across Japan. That gives Tesla owners access to one of the country’s largest dedicated fast-charging networks, making long-distance travel significantly more convenient.

The expansion comes as Tesla continues strengthening its presence in Japan. Earlier this month, we reported that Tesla sales in the country have been gaining momentum, with the Model Y emerging as the best-selling imported vehicle in several recent reporting periods.

A growing charging network is an important piece of that success, helping address one of the biggest concerns for prospective EV buyers—fast, reliable, and widely available charging.

With 150 locations now operational and more expected in the future, Tesla continues laying the groundwork to support a growing fleet of vehicles on Japanese roads while making electric road trips easier than ever.
