Tesla owners in southern Ontario have a new Supercharger station after the Simcoe Supercharger finally came online yesterday, seven months after construction first started.

Back in May we told you about the new Supercharger being built at 142 Queensway East in the parking lot near the Canadian Tire. Tesla was initially hoping to open the Simcoe Supercharger in Q3, but they weren’t quite able to meet that timeline having only activated the station on Thursday afternoon, according to a report on TMC.

While the station hasn’t yet appeared on the in-car navigation, Tesla has updated their website to indicate it is now open.

The site features 8 V3 stalls capable of charging at up to 250kW.

There are currently three other Supercharger stations in Ontario currently under construction in Scarborough, Brantford, Bracebridge, and Gananoque.
