After several years of delays, it looks like Tesla is taking another big step to show Semi production is nearing by reportedly publishing some internal job postings related to the electric truck.
According to a source who spoke to Tesla enthusiast Sawyer Merritt, the automaker is looking to hire several Semi technicians for North America.
Three of the positions would be based in California, while the fourth would be located in Mississauga, Ontario.
The job postings are currently listed internally in order to see if any existing employees qualify and would be interested. If they are unable to fill the positions they will be published externally on Tesla’s Careers website.
Tesla’s new lead of Heavy Trucking Jerome Guillen reportedly wants these positions to be filled by the end of June.
Selecting Canada as one of the locations for the Tesla Semi technician makes sense as a large number of the electric trucks are expected to be shipped north of the border.

With seven locations across Canada, Pride Group Enterprises placed an order for 150 Semi trucks, with the option to purchase 500 in total.
Walmart Canada is also waiting to receive lots of Tesla Semi’s. Last year the retail giant more than tripled their order to 130 units.
