The next glimpse of the Polestar 3 due out in 2022

Polestar released their next teaser of the upcoming electric SUV, the Polestar 3 electric performance. The vehicle launches in 2022 and will be the first Polestar vehicle built in the United States.

Polestar plans to launch the Polestar 3 into the competitive but very lucrative premium SUV market. The company believes that this is the market that will be the fastest to adapt to EV’s and they want to be at the cusp of it.

Currently, only a handful of fully electric SUVs are on the road.

The Polestar 3 will be manufactured at the Volvo Cars plant in Charleston, South Carolina. Volvo Cars is a significant shareholder in Polestar.

No specs or pricing details were announced, with the company only saying it will launch sometime next year.

The Polestar 3 follows some good news from the company around their upcoming NASDAQ listing, growth and vision for the future.

Polestar intends to list on the NASDAQ in the coming months and is working with Gores Guggenheim Inc to make this happen. Polestar expects this process to close in the first half of 2022.

In addition, Polestar‘s growth is sustainable and quite impressive. The company is expanding their presence to 30 global markets by the end of 2023. In addition, they plan to launch a new car every year for the next three years.

Finally, Polestar’s Polestar Precept, their manifesto concept car which showcases the future of Polestar design, technology and sustainability, debuted in New York City. The vehicle will now embark on a national tour visiting Polestar retail operations throughout the US into 2022.

Last week, Polestar announced that the Polestar Precept will become the Polestar 5 with a 2024 production date.
