Polestar’s Precept concept becomes Polestar 5

Polestar teased that their Polestar Precept is now officially the Polestar 5 and gave the vehicle a 2024 production date. Earlier this week, Polestar released a video that gave viewers a closer look at the vehicle and some of its features.

The Polestar 5 will be a four-door sedan with a hatchback in the rear. The company notes the vehicle is an electric performance 4-door Grand Touring Car.

Although Polestar did not release the pricing, many expect the car to compete with the Tesla Model S, Mercedes-Benz EQS and the Lucid Air.

Naturally, Polestar did not release any other crucial specs, including battery size, range or motor configuration.

However, those numbers should come in 2023.

Finally, Polestar teased a deeper integration with Android Auto for this vehicle. Features include the sedan recognizing the driver approaching the car and changing the settings.

In addition, the Google Assistant would see improvement with more languages and voice assistance able to have more natural conversations.

Finally, they are also looking to improve the in-car experience, including better video streaming.

Polestar has released two vehicles, the Polestar 1 and the Polestar 2. The Polestar 3 is an electric crossover SUV, and many expect the Polestar 4 to be an SUV.
