Tesla’s Hollywood Supercharger With Diner & Drive-in Movie Theater Begins To Take Shape

Tesla’s unique Supercharger site in Hollywood is starting to take shape. The location will include a diner and drive-in movie theater, a fun and clever idea for passing time while charging.

Elon Musk’s dream of a futuristic diner and drive-in movie theater in Hollywood has moved even closer to fruition. In September, Tesla was seen starting construction on the site. At that time, work was already underway on part of the construction site to prepare for pouring the foundation. Meanwhile, it could be seen that in some parts of the site, there were already parts filled with cement, likely supports for the main building.

New observations from the location gave a fresh look at progress. @HowardModels/X shared new photos and information. According to his post on X, the sighting was made in early November. Several vertical concrete structures were built on the site, some of which formed something similar to an entrance to the diner building. In addition, work is already underway on underground utilities, which is also an excellent indicator of progress.

This project has been in development for several years. It is located at 7001 Santa Monica Boulevard in West Hollywood. The restaurant will have two floors and seat 218 people. The second floor will feature outdoor seating overlooking two large 45-foot-tall LED movie screens. According to planning documents, short videos will be broadcast on the screens from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. The diner itself will be open 24 hours a day. The location will feature 32 Supercharger stalls, which will also be available 24 hours a day. This will be a great place not only to charge your car but also to have a fun and unique time.

Musk has long been talking about this Supercharger station, which would offer restaurant service and a drive-in movie theater in Los Angeles. The idea came to him in 2018 and is now close to implementation. As Musk promised, there will be two movie screens for viewing by people charging their cars and/or eating at the restaurant. The screens will be positioned to allow people to see them both from their cars and from the rooftop seating area.
