Tesla’s dominance in EV charging has once again been recognized, this time in Canada and by the drivers who rely on it every day. At the 2026 Electric Autonomy Expo, the company’s Supercharger network took top honours at the ChargeHub Awards, winning both the “Top Networks” award for reliability and “Charging Experience Excellence.”

The awards are based on real-world feedback from EV drivers across the country, highlighting not just Tesla’s scale, but the consistency and ease-of-use that have become defining features of the Supercharger experience.

The awards were accepted by Jase Zampini, Tesla’s Design Lead for Charging Infrastructure across Central North America, including Canada and the Midwest U.S.

Tesla winning these awards should come as no surprise. The company has built out an expansive coast-to-coast fast-charging network along major highways, in urban centres, and increasingly, more remote regions with plans to expand even further.

This coverage has made long-distance electric travel not only possible, but practical, for Tesla owners and, more recently, drivers of other EV brands as select Supercharger sites open to non-Tesla vehicles.

In terms of sheer scale, Tesla operates nearly 3,000 Supercharger stalls across Canada, with that number continuing to grow each month.

Reliability remains one of Tesla’s strongest differentiators. While many third-party charging networks struggle with downtime and inconsistent performance, Tesla’s vertically integrated approach—designing, building, and maintaining its own hardware and software—has resulted in industry-leading uptime of nearly 100%.

Drivers don’t have to wonder if stations will be operational when they arrive, which is not something you can say about third-party networks.

A seamless user experience is bolstered by features like plug-and-charge functionality, real-time stall availability displayed in the vehicle, and automatic route planning with charging stops integrated into navigation. There’s no need for apps, cards, or multiple accounts—just plug in and charge.

As EV adoption accelerates across Canada, Tesla’s continued investment in infrastructure is helping to support that growth while setting a high standard for the rest of the industry.
