Tesla pushes back order deadline to have Mobile Connector included with purchase to April 28

When Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced the Mobile Connector Bundle was no longer going to be included with new vehicle purchases, there was some confusion for recent buyers as to what the cutoff date was to have it included.

We later learned through a leaked internal memo that it was no longer going to be included for orders as of April 17.

It looks like that has now changed. According to the Tesla Shop listing for the Mobile Connector, orders placed after April 28, 2022 will not have the Mobile Connector included with delivery.

Note: Vehicle orders placed on or after April 28, 2022 will not include a Mobile Connector with delivery. Mobile Connector orders with both NEMA 5-15 Adapter and NEMA 14-50 Adapter will begin shipping in August 2022.

Tesla likely decided to make this change as it wasn’t clear a charging solution wasn’t going to be included with your purchase.

The automaker changed that earlier tonight by adding a new ‘Charging’ section to the Design Studio order process where buyers can pick between the Wall Connector or Mobile Connector prior to checking out.
